Eurocontrol SESI - HANSA Seminar

A very productive and useful Seminar provided by a Eurocontrol-SESI team of experts took place last week in our HANSA headquarters in Athens. It was targeted specifically for HANSA, ANSP and MET (E.M.Y.) personnel in view of the preparations for the Certification process for the ANS providers in Greece.

HANSA on BlueMed

Within the Functional Airspace Blocks (FAB) scheme as mandated in SES, the BlueMed FAB is being pioneered with the participation of Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Malta as Members and Egypt, Tunisia, Albania and Jordan as observers.

In order to foster cooperation at the NSA level, a Meeting of Experts is being held today in Rome so that the participating countries may further deliberate on a common approach to the issues involved.

HANSA's CNS representative to this Meeting, Mr. Konstantinos Simeakis, has included his thoughts and comments on infrastructure matters in the ppt presentation embedded below:

Online HANSA Bookshelf

We have created an online "bookshelf" in Scribd form and uploaded a batch of public documents regarding the implementation of the Single European Sky. This small collection will be gradually enriched and increased with more additions, including other HANSA public docs.

You can read online, download or even embed in your blog any of these docs. So it is very convenient to keep the URL address somewhere handy in your laptops (e.g. when travelling) enabling you to access them anytime, anywhere.

There is a link menu on the left-hand side of the page showing a simple classification (EU Regulations, ESARRs, EAM/GUIs, etc).

European ATM Master Plan: the shape of ATM to come?

Although our colleagues at HANSA are quite familiar with the document posted below, I believe that because the European Air Traffic Management Master Plan is a must read for anyone involved in Air Navigation, it is worth posting it for the benefit of all those interested in the E.U. plans for achieving the Single European Sky integration.

Welcome to HANSA!

This forum is intended as an informal (and unofficial) platform for articles, news and opinions regarding the Hellenic Air Navigation Supervisory Authority (HANSA) and its activities. Only HANSA personnel can post here, but all interested aviation professionals are invited to comment. All such third party comments will initially be subject to admin moderation, but if discussions are kept at a polite level the floor will be unmoderated.

Posting is preferably in English but don't be surprised if Greek is used from time to time!

Meanwhile, HANSA's official web site is being prepared and should soon be up and running. In it visitors will be able to access official NSA info (structure, tasks, etc) and also download all documents that ANS providers need for the NSA Certification.
